Survey Process Notification
ATS Survey Participants Lawful Basis for Processing Notification
As a customer of ATS Automation Tooling Systems Inc. or one of our affiliate companies (“ATS”), you should be aware that ATS takes your fundamental right to privacy and the respect for, and compliance with, global data protection laws, including but not limited to, the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and country-specific data protection laws, very seriously. We strive to only collect, process, access, share, store, and/or transfer personal data that is absolutely required to manage the business relationship and provide you with the information and tools you need to maintain a successful customer relationship with ATS. The personal data we collect about you is only used for the purposes for which it was provided. As a globally compliant organization, ATS endeavors to be open and transparent about the use of your data, how long it is maintained, where it is stored and who has access to it.
Under the GDPR and applicable country-specific data protection laws, personal data must be processed lawfully, fairly, and in a transparent manner. The purpose of this notification is to inform you of the lawful basis under which we process your personal data.
We do use contact details:
- If you gave your consent and ATS is allowed to contact you for marketing purposes. You have the right to withdraw your consent at any time.
- If you have an active customer relationship with Process Automation Solutions (“PA”).
Your personal data is processed by ATS and our approved third-party service provider Critical Activities, for the following reason:
- Contact you to ask if you want to take part in our voluntary survey to gather information about PA market shares and brand awareness.
The categories of your personal data we process for contacting you are as follows:
- Name
- Company
- Email address
Your personal data will be stored for this purpose in our systems for as long as the evaluations for the survey are being carried out and in accordance with our legal and contractual obligations. We also ensure we are abiding by our obligations to meet the requirements under applicable data protection laws.
The survey itself will be anonymous and we will not process any personal data. However, the decision to take part is entirely your own and there will be no consequences if you decide not to take part.
The process for the survey is the following: If you decide to take part in our anonymous survey you can click on the provided link. The link will lead you to our survey on the platform Qualtrics. The data will be stored in Critical Activities’ United Kingdom environment and will only be available to PA Marketing employees.
Your rights as data subject: As the data controller of your personal data, ATS respects your right and freedoms as defined under the GDPR and other applicable country-specific data protection laws. These rights include:
- Right of access and rectification
- Right of erasure (provided the data is not required for contractual or legal purposes)
- Right to withdraw consent at any time (if consent was used as the lawful basis for processing)
- Restriction of processing activities
- Objection to processing activities
- Right to data portability
- Right to file a complaint with a relevant Supervisory Authority
